Tourism can be good for a country´s economy, but the fact is that only a few people benefit from this. A few get rich while the local people have very low wage employments. And to make things even worst globalization is moving in. All these makes travelling more expensive to you and unfair for the local people´s economy.
But, we live in exciting times, where the internet is bringing people closer together then ever. We put you in direct contact with the local people. And we provide the local people with a personal webpage full of photos at a very affordable price.

I made my first travel photo journal after visiting Bali in October 2002. The terrorist bomb killed hundreds of tourists and damaged Bali´s reputation of being a safe place to travel. The livelihood of Balinese people depend on tourism. With the photos I took, I created the photo journal, to show what a beautiful place Bali is, and to promote it for people to come visit... To help the Balinese because they were worried that no one would come visit Bali ever again.
One day, around 2005, in my travels in Lanzarote, I was broke and working in a surf shop. I used to set my laptop and display slideshows of my photos. Suddenly one day, a woman came into the shop and told me that she had seing these photos before in the internet. She told me that the photo journal inspired her to go to Bali and she had lived an incredibly happy experience.
Some of my photos have also being published in magazine articles and guidebooks that found me through my online photo journals. My photos have appeared in: NewsWeek magazine NY, Four Seasons magazine NY, Wanderlust Travel magazine UK, Air Europa onboard magazine, Rough Guides UK, Stormrider Guides UK, amongst others.
Travelling has made me want to travel more. And with the internet I have the opportunity to share these fantastic experiences. I hope that the photo journals will inspire you to go there. And if you have already being there, it will bring back good memories and maybe want to visit again.
Now, with Travel Photo Journals .com, other photo journalists can contribute creating a reportage of the most beautiful destinations and wonders on Earth. And at the same time creating an organized collection of photos to share with the world that would otherwise be sitting in a lost folder. All these powered by Google creative cloud computing.
Our goal is to build a guide where people live in harmony with Nature. A guide created by professional photographer´s that know how to tell a story with a photograph. A "National Geographic magazine" experience. Created by many freelance photographer´s around the world.
It is made by contributing photo journalists that create their own photo weblogs and content from their own experiences. Each destination is another webpage created by another photographer in that destination. In this way, creating a spider web of webpages with reliable images and content. Including direct links to the local service providers that will help you on your own quest to enjoying the beauty of the nature of the Earth.
The webpages are created in blog style so its easy for comments and sharing. It easily translates into 35 different languages. And ít has being designed so its easy to navigate and fast to upload.
